Dr. Steven S. Goldberg is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and a nationally recognized leader in shoulder reconstruction. He was named as one of the Top 200 Shoulder Specialists in the United States in Newsweek‘s America’s Leading Doctors, and the only shoulder specialist in Collier County to be awarded that distinction. Dr. Goldberg focuses almost exclusively on comprehensive shoulder and elbow care, providing both advanced surgical and non-surgical treatments to help patients regain strength, mobility, and quality of life.

Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Goldberg’s completed his undergraduate degree with High Distinction at the University of Virginia, and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After completing his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Southern California, he pursued specialized fellowship training in Shoulder, Elbow and Sports Medicine at the prestigious Columbia University Medical Center – New York Orthopedic Hospital. His Board Certifications include Orthopedic Surgery and a Subspecialty Certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine.

Dr. Goldberg was recruited to Naples by the Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2005, and previously served as the Chief of the Division of Orthopedic Surgery for Physicians Regional Healthcare System from 2014 to 2019.

As a dedicated innovator, Dr. Goldberg is known for his work in advancing orthopedic technology. He is the Founder of Catalyst OrthoScience, a growth-stage medical device company focused on developing novel surgical implants and instrument systems. He personally designed the Catalyst CSR Total Shoulder System, a bone-preserving, less-invasive total shoulder arthroplasty system, which is now used in over 5,000 successful procedures nationwide and has more than 8 peer-reviewed publications demonstrating its clinical advantages. He holds fifteen United States Patents for his work in shoulder arthroplasty design.

Dr. Goldberg is an associate member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) and a frequent faculty member for major national and international courses. He regularly serves as a Reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. His published research includes multiple articles in leading journals like the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He has been consistently recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2010.

Outside of work he enjoys football, grilling, fishing and boating with his wife and 3 nearly-grown children.

Meet Amy White, PA-C

Amy is a Board-certified physician assistant with over 18 years of orthopedic experience. She has worked in orthopedics since 2004, performing physicals, administering joint injections, performing primary wound closures, reviewing diagnostic imaging and assisting in surgery. From 2007 to 2014, Amy gave educational orthopedic speeches on shoulder anatomy, disorders and treatment at Johns Hopkins Orthopedics in Baltimore, Maryland. She has lived in Naples, Florida since 2017 and enjoys weekend adventures with her husband and two sons.
